Natural Lands Trust, a nonprofit regional land trust,
has been working with our region's communities to protect vital
resources since 1953. Through acquisition, conservation easements,
planning and education, we work with others to ensure that our natural
and cultural resources are here for future generations. |
 |
|
Over the past several decades we have helped
to conserve more than 100,000 acres of natural lands. Today the Trust
owns and manages a system of 45 preserves which includes some of the
most ecologically significant land in the area.

Madsen was part of the design build team with
the Engineer hired by Lands Trust. We were able to work with the
engineer’s design and lower the cost of the project in order to stay
within the budget price. We worked with the equipment supplier
to make necessary changes to the project without hurting the
engineers design ideas. |
|
We added American Auto Matrix DDC controls to
take tight control of the buildings schedules and temperatures.
The system is connected to the Director's PC, so he can
control the operation and climatic condition of the buildings.
The job consisted of well water supported, water source heat pumps in the
new building addition and an update of the HVAC system in the old
farm house.
A
main pump disperses the closed loop well water to five water source heat pumps and
various equipment throughout the
facility.

The efficient system keeps the building cool in
the summer and warm in the winter. Maintenance is easy and
economical to maintain for the Natural Lands Trust staff. We have an
ongoing maintenance agreement to keep the system and filters in top
operating condition. |
