Replacing rooftop units
using a crane and dollies on a large rooftop. Since the units were set back more than we
could reach with the large crane, we use dollies to roll the old units to the edge of the
roof and picked them up with the crane to a flat bed to haul away.
The new units were lifted
after each old unit was removed using a second dolly. We set the new unit in place with 6
men.
The drive was clean by
11:00 am and all the new units were in place. The crane and flat bed left the site after
only 3 hours on the job to change 12 units.
Good team work had the
Economizer packages installed the next day along with the new disconnects and energy
management controls. This site in Southampton, PA is a large retirement home which has an
existing Madsen Energy Management system.
